Dear guests, our wedding is soooo soon!

Here are some things you'll need to know:

1. Transportation to the wedding

If you RSVP'd for transport to the wedding please be at the Sylvia Hotel (1154 Gilford Street @ Beach Ave.) no later than 2pm on Saturday, September 3rd to board the bus to our wedding.

2. We are having a twoonie bar!

Please bring twoonies and remember that there is no ATM at the wedding venue! Thanks!

3. We will keep updating the blog with info closer to the date. We also have a custom honeymoon registry:

The bus will leave Deas Island at 12:30AM and will drop off at both Cambie & Broadway and The Sylvia Hotel

We are hosting an open house at our apartment Sunday, September 4 from 2-6PM. Stop by! We're at #103 - 1298 W. 10th Ave. @ Birch St. Lola can't wait to see you all, too!

hotel suggestion

Dear guests, the Victorian Hotel comes highly recommended to me by several sources. It's pretty reasonable if you're on a budget and the location is great. It's right on major bus routes and right between Gastown and downtown. Lots of good restaurants, shopping, and coffee shops are nearby! Oh, and the water is about 3 blocks north. I hope this helps with your planning!

Some important info for you, our guests:

Transportation to the ceremony and reception will be leaving from the Sylvia Hotel at 2:15PM on Saturday, September 3rd. The party bus will be bringing people home later that evening, dropping off at Cambie and Broadway so you can catch the SkyTrain or B-Line and again at the Sylvia Hotel.

Don't forget that we're having an open house at our apartment on Sunday, September 4th from 2-6PM.

Dear friends and family,

The question of gifts has come up from a few of our guests. Please know that what we truly value is having all of you join us in September to celebrate. Wedding transport and more...

By now many of you have gotten your invites in the mail! Keep checking the blog between now and the wedding, as there will be lots of updates coming. If you're wondering about the transportation to and from the wedding venue you should know that we are looking into having a bus transport everyone, since our wedding and reception are not exactly in Vancouver. If that sounds convenient and fun to you, just check the box on your RSVP cards. We look forward to receiving your reply in the mail!

Our Westjet Wedding Registration Number

As promised, here is the group discount code that you can make use of to travel to our wedding via the Vancouver or Abbotsford airports.

For our out of town guests

Jeff and I will be providing you with a coupon code for WestJet that will get you 10% off of regular fares to Vancouver or Abbotsford. You will be able to book your tickets right away using this code and can travel on dates up to a week before or after our wedding. We also encourage everyone to look into hotel bookings as we're getting married on a long weekend. I'll post the WestJet code here in the next few days. Many of our guests are staying at the Sylvia Hotel, which we highly recommend.

We forge ahead!

Rest assured, we are in full-on planning mode for our wedding! Here are some things you might like to know about in advance that we can share.

Rehearsal dinner: Friday, September 2, 2011 for family and those involved in the ceremony

Ceremony/reception: Saturday, September 3, 2011 (afternoon and evening)

Transportation to and from ceremony/reception site: We're working on it!

Accommodation: We are recommending the Sylvia Hotel at English Bay in Vancouver for our out-of-town guests. Some wedding events may take place at this location.

Invitations will be on their way as soon as we have the most important details nailed down.

We are so excited to see everyone and enjoy this long weekend with all of you! Thank you for all of your help as we get the details together!
